Sonic X Shadow Generations has solely been out for a few weeks, and the modding group has already bought it working with an improved body fee on Change.
Uploaded to Github by person ‘Masagrator’ and demonstrated within the above video from Pixelacos Gameplays, the mod will get the Sonic parts of the sport working at a reasonably stable 60fps, with only a few dips. The video description claims that the footage comes from an actual, non-overclocked Change, working with 720p decision.
Importantly, the mod solely seems to work for the Sonic storyline, with some commenters on the above video claiming that it repeatedly crashes within the newly added Shadow portion.
It seems somewhat spectacular and is a tidy step up from Sonic Group’s official Change providing. In Digital Foundry’s technical evaluation of the brand new Generations package deal, the outlet famous “fixed stutter” within the Change model, with the Sonic gameplay working at a “super-weird 31.5fps”.
Naturally, this frame-rate-boosting mod means nothing to the official model (it’s a mod, in spite of everything), nevertheless it’s cool to see how easy issues might have seemed on the Nintendo hybrid. As a reminder, the blue blur’s final sequence entry, Sonic Superstars, ran at 60fps as commonplace on Change, although even this was topic to the odd drop.
Perhaps Sonic Group will get issues as much as the massive 60 for ‘Change 2’, eh? Let’s hope so.
Do you hope to see Sonic working at 60fps on future Nintendo consoles, or do you not thoughts both means? Tell us within the feedback.
